Wilhelmina Arnoldina Snethlage
tekenares, schilderes, kunstnaaldwerkster
Hieronder in wisselende presentatie nog een aantal van haar werken:
Wilhelmina Arnoldina (“Mien”) Snethlage, 1890-1982, followed first the Drawing-school in Amsterdam and later the Royal Academy of Arts and Design. There she was a pupil of Prof. Carel Lodewijk Dake.
She made drawings, paintings, water-colours, pen-drawings, etches, engravings and as well art needle works and glass mosaic work.
She was married to Dr Frederik Lodewijk Rutgers and lived with him in Amsterdam and Dedemsvaart. When the marriage ended in divorce, she lived in Laren (N.-H.) and De Bilt.
She was a very sympathic and unpretending woman, and most committed to her work. She was a member of several unions of artists and went on with her work into old age.
